The Great British Poker Tour Final will take place on the 5th of November and run till the 11th. It will take place at the Gala Casinos in Harbourside, Bristol. The event has signed five professional players to play at the event which will surely boost numbers.
Jamie Gold, Phil Laak, Antonio Esfandiari, Robert Williamson III and Jennifer Tilly will all be present at this year’s final battling for their chance at the title. Great British Poker Tour Director Thomas Kremser had this to say: “So far in the GBPT we’ve seen a really high standard of poker from local amateurs holding their own against the UK and European pro-players, so it’ll be fascinating to see what drama will unfold with these star names of World Poker in the frame. For any aspiring poker players, it simply doesn’t get any better than this!”
All five professional players will be bringing knowledge to the table. Actress Jennifer Tilly has a WSOP bracelet and Phil Laak and Antonio Esfandiari have had WSOP and WPT success. Jamie Gold won an amazing $12 million in his WSOP win and Robert Williamson III has won almost $2 million in his career.
The total prize pool estimated for this year’s event is $500,000 with side events taking place that will possibly raise that amount. The winner will not only receive a nice chunk of change but will also win a seat in the Bellagio Five Diamond World Poker Classic that will take place in December.
