Carbon Poker has always been among the top sites when it comes to software features and design. A testament to this fact is that they were the first poker room to offer the “Run it Twice” option, which was popularized by poker TV shows. But lately, Carbon must have felt that they were losing their lofty position in regards to software.
So they decided to launch Carbon Poker 6.0 – a revamped software package with detailed search filters, better multi-tabling capabilities, and a new tournament lobby. Seeing as how the Carbon Poker software is new and improved, let’s take a closer look at the main aspects of Version 6.0. Also, we’ll cover some of the July promotions that are happening at Carbon.

Carbon Poker 6.0 Features
Filters – While the Carbon Poker lobby has never been overly-difficult to navigate through, players will find games with ease now. That’s because the filters have been vastly improved to allow players total control over finding ring tables/tournaments quickly and efficiently.
As for the filters, players can either use the default “Game Selector” or the more advanced “Game Filter” option. An example of the Game Selector would include choosing Cash Games, Omaha, Pot Limit, and Low (stakes). In regards to the Game Filter, this offers over 20 boxes that can be checked/unchecked, and six different drop-down boxes that further narrow down cash game and tournament searches. As if this isn’t enough, there’s also a sliding bar that enables you to select the desired stakes with little effort involved.
Search Field – Don’t want to click through a bunch of filters and options when looking for online poker games? Why not just use the search field that’s available with Version 6.0, which enables you to look for games/tourneys based on player names, tags, notes and table ID’s.
New Tournament Lobby – More details have been added to the tournament lobby with the Carbon Poker software upgrade. The “Type” category in this lobby is really helpful since you’ll be able to tell whether each tournament is a freeroll, turbo, super turbo, points entry, rebuy, add-on, late registration, and/or deepstack event.
Better Multi-tabling – Multi-tablers can really benefit from Carbon Poker 6.0 because tables can easily be tiled and cascaded. You’ll also be able to manually resize the poker tables by clicking a corner and moving the table to a desired size.
Other Changes – A few other changes that you can expect with Version 6.0 include Game List Expanders (click a game to find more info), Time Zones (change server time to your local time), and Custom Player Boxes (color-code decks, turn on/off player avatars and accolades). As you can see, there are lots of new and exciting changes to the Carbon Poker software, which definitely makes it worth checking out.

Tourney King and SNG Leaderboard – If you’re looking for longstanding Carbon Poker promotions that run every month, then Tourney King and the SNG Leaderboard will interest you. Tourney King is a monthly MTT race where $20,000 is paid out to the top 50 High Limit and top 50 Low Limit leaderboard finishers. As for the SNG Leaderboard, the top 25 SNG point earners share $10,000; there is no High/Low Limit division. Also, $2,000 in SNG win streak bonuses are paid out as well.
