huck1.jpgHuck Seed has a proven track record in heads-up play. He has cashed in all four years of the NBC National Heads-Up Poker Championship, earning his second third-place finish this year when Chris Ferguson won the event. Huck had also come in third place at the first annual Canadian Open Poker Championship Heads-Up Main Event two years ago. He has always been close, but like Chris Ferguson, just couldn’t seem to win a heads-up event until this year.

In the final round of the Canadian Open Poker Championship Heads-Up Main Event, Huck Seed faced off against Brad “Yukon” Booth, a Canadian professional poker player whose skills kept the best two-of-three heads-up series going for more than five hours.

The event took place at the Deerfoot Inn and Casino, located in Calgary, Alberta. Sixty-four players paid the $5,000 buy-in and after 2.5% was removed for charity, the prize pool totaled $290,160. Huck Seed won $100,000 for his victory while Brad Booth took home $50,160 for his runner-up finish. The complete list of payouts is below.
