I have some excellent news for everyone that has been getting sick of watching the same “High Stakes Poker” show on GSN for the longest time now. The show will finally starting shooting the new season of “High Stakes Poker” come late December and the players will return to the casino that gave the show its start and that casino is the GoldenNugget Resort & Casino in downtown Las Vegas. The information that the Game Show Network has given has been very slim but they have put confidence in everyone that the viewers will not be disappointed with the action that will be seen on the show.
Some information that has been given will make the viewers of “High Stakes Poker” extremely happy since the producers of the show will be raising the minimum buy-in from the usual $100,000 that viewers saw in the earlier seasons to $200,000 for season 5. The players that will be playing during the upcoming season have not yet been released, but you can suspect that some of the popular players in the past such as Daniel Negreanu, Sammy Farha, Eli Elezra and the great one Doyle Brunson will be making an appearance in season 5. Some players that I would not be surprised to see make an appearance would be some of the online poker professionals such as Tom “Durrrr” Dwan.
We will all have to wait and see who will be making an appearance and I promise that if the shows are anything like the previous seasons then the viewers will not be disappointed. Also some rumors that are going around is that the format of the game will not be just strictly Texas Hold em’ like it has been in the past so that should make for some very interesting shows.
