Mac Absolute Poker (Rumor)

Update – Mac Absolute poker is here!

It seems like a lot of poker sites are planning Mac compatible releases lately. It only took 8 years, but better late then never. I just read a rumor today, that Absolute Poker may be releasing a Mac version soon.

A representative from Absolute Poker just got a hold of me. She said they had plans to become Mac compatible.

This would be great, if they do! Absolute poker is a nice medium large poker site, with a good variety of games. They also give more bonuses out then any other poker room.

I emailed Absolute Poker support, to see if they would provide more information about the possible Mac version. Unfortunately, Absolute Poker support wasn’t very helpful on this subject. They sent me the standard virtual PC response.

Currently Absolute Poker will only work with Windows. If you want to use Absolute Poker on a MAC, you must have a Windows emulator installed. Virtual PC 7 is just one solution.

Not giving up, I emailed them again requesting information from their tech team. The customer support lady was nice, and replied telling me that she forwarded the email.

A few hours later I receive a reply from one of the tech people at Absolute poker. It was the exact same Virtual PC reply. I guess whenever they see an email with the subject, “Mac Absolute Poker”, they click the auto reply button.

So nothing is confirmed yet, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t going to release a Mac version soon. I bet I can email party poker, even after they released their Mac version, and they’ll still reply telling me I need virtual PC.
