During the first four seasons of Poker After Dark the show was taped at the wonderful Southpoint Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, but when the fifth season of the hit show starts taping it will no longer take place at theÂ Southpoint Hotel & Casino. The new home of Poker After Dark will be the famous Golden Nugget Hotel & Casino. The announcement of the move was made not long ago and many top pros are already hyped about the move saying that the change of scenery will be a big plus for the players and the viewers.
The Golden Nugget Hotel & Casino has recently said “The Golden Nugget is thrilled to host the fifth season of NBC’s exciting, late-night poker program, Poker After Dark. The Golden Nugget has been home to several big poker productions, as well as hosted many poker tournaments and events, so bringing a top-rated program like Poker After Dark to the property just felt like a natural fit.”
The show will officially begin filming sixty episodes of the popular show on Oct. 26th through Nov. 5th and will include some of the top names in poker such as Phil Ivey, Daniel Negreanu, Gus Hansen, Phil Hellmuth, Doyle Brunson and many more. The show will begin to air on NBC on Dec. 29th at 2:05 a.m. ET/PT.
