Full Tilt Poker gets yet another poker super star. Gus Hansen signed a contract to play exclusively at Full Tilt Poker.
Before joining Full Tilt Poker, Hansen was the champ at PokerChamps.com. Poker Champs used a pyramid-marketing scheme, where you can get paid a few levels deep for the ‘friends’ you refer, but they were never able to become a mainstream poker site.
Gus Hansen should find himself right at home with the other top pros on team Full Tilt, including Howard Lederer, Phil Ivey, Chris Ferguson, John Juanda, Jennifer Harman, Mike Matusow, and more. And unlike PokerChamps, which rarely has a 5/10 limit game going, Full Tilt Poker runs high stakes limits up to 1k/2k.
Hansen is a Hyper Aggressive player, which means he’ll treat any hand like the nuts and he won’t be afraid to gamble with seemingly retarded hands. Although profitable in the long run, his short-term swings are huge, and I’m sure will provide great entertainment for railbirding.
